Sympathy card - dove

Unfortunately I needed a couple sympathy cards this week. I designed a Dove to use on these sympathy cards, if you would like to have the Dove SVG click Here. I used a regular ballpoint pen to outline the edges to help give the dove some definition.

The first card is pretty straight forward - quick and easy. The green leaf is a Martha Steward punch. For the quote I used 'Someone remembers, someone cares, your name is whispered in someone's prayers.'

For the second card I pulled out my Wild Card cartridge. For this card I used the Swoop (page 42). I was playing around with the size and found that the 4.5 inch would fit into a standard A2 envelope.

Wild Card - Wave Card

Here is a Valentine card made with the Cricut Wild Card cartridge (Wave page 50). I made the card from cream colored cardstock and then cut a pink 'liner' for the inside of the card (this liner is not the one that is given on the cartridge, but not hard to made yourself ). I used the Cuttlebug to emboss the outer flaps of the card. The hearts and leaves are dry embossed using a lasting impressions brass stencil.

Valentine

Here is a new valentine card that I made. I made the two heart images in inkscape. One of the hearts I ran though my zyron machine upsidedown and coated it with glitter. That glitter is NOT coming off! The other heart I cut out of simple kraft paper. I made the 2 hearts intertwine by cutting a slit in one heart and looping them together.

Eyelet Card with Daisy

I am back with yet another take on an 'Eyelet Card' - guess I have a series of them going. I think that this card makes 6 now. This card is made with a daisy, and just repeating the same daisy in various sizes. I finished this card last week - but it has been too cold to go outside and take pictures. Hope that you enjoy!

SCAL2 - layers and score lines

SCAL2 just came out with a new version, if you don't have it already you may want to get it. I have been playing around all morning with the new LAYERS feature. I LOVE IT!

The reason I am loving this LAYER feature, is I figured out how to make it easier to put score lines on boxes! Normally I don't put those tiny score lines on my boxes -- I really hate the holes it makes on the sides of the boxes!! I figured out that you can now put scores lines on a separate layer and instead of cutting the score lines out, use a pen in the cricut and print the score lines. Once you print the score lines you can easily know where to fold the box (easy peasy!!).

I was all excited about this new development, even had to showed my hubby. He told me that I was crazy to be this excited about score lines!
